Position Title: Marketing & Communication Coordinator Classification: Exempt Reports to: Senior Manager of Marketing & Communications POSITION SUMMARY Generation W Inc. is a nonprofit service organization focused on educating, inspiring, and connecting women and girls. We are dedicated to building community, bringing people together, and advancing and enhancing their lives. Generation W has developed and executes several programs; Generation W, Generation WOW, Generation WORKS, and WOWsdom The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will be responsible for supporting our communications, community outreach, and social media engagement. This role is perfect for someone with 1-3 years of experience in marketing and communications. Experience with non-profit organizations is preferred but not required. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Support the marketing department's initiatives with the planning, executing, and tracking of marketing programs such as email, event, social media, and content marketing Assist with developing/executing year-round marketing strategies and calendar that encompasses organizational messaging, events, and outreach goals Assist in the coordination and promotion of virtual and in-person events, including community outreach campaigns, annual events, and special initiatives Consistently create, curate, and schedule engaging content across social media platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational messaging and key initiatives Monitor social media channels for industry trends, audience engagement, and potential opportunities for enhanced community interaction Coordinate, design, and execute email marketing campaigns, including copywriting, testing, scheduling, list management, and segmentation for targeted outreach Evaluate and monitor campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and creating comprehensive reports Liaise with external vendors, partners, and contractors, ensuring all marketing materials and services are delivered on time and within budget Assist with website content updates to ensure all information is current, engaging, and relevant to both internal and external audiences QUALIFICATIONS FOR MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university 1-3 years experience in a similar role Passion for the non-profit sector, particularly in empowering women and girls Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Working knowledge of research and analytics, and the ability to analyze metrics and create reports High aptitude for problem solving and ability to work independently Proficient technology skills including Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, CRM software, and design software like Canva or Photoshop Must have strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills A firm grasp of various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving work environment with shifting priorities and deadlines Must have a high level of creativity Ability to commute to Jacksonville Beach Occasional travel may be required GENERATION W VALUE SET The Marketing & Communications Coordinator should demonstrate competence in the following: Creativity/Innovation: Develop new and unique ways to improve the operations of the organization and the programs.
