Responsibilities Architectural Designer plays an important role within Southcoast's Design & Construction team, assisting in all phases of a project, including but not limited to: conduct site visits and attend project meetings, verify as-built measurements of existing buildings, assist in programming and space planning studies, research code requirements and ensure feasibility of design. The Architectural Designer will coordinate and communicate effectively with all internal stakeholders and external supports to understand, define and deliver the strategic vision for each unique Southcoast space, yet ensuring a consistent brand delivery and experience for our patients. Architectural Designer will have responsibility for producing drawings and documents from programming through construction documents. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or other related discipline preferred, or the equivalent amount of combined experience, education and training. Design experience within a medical setting, familiarity with hospital design, and FGI Guidelines is strongly preferred. Knowledge of local, state and federal construction codes and regulations is strongly preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required. Minimum of three (3) years of healthcare experience in the architectural industry strongly preferred. Candidate on the path to Licensure preferred, but not required. Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
