As a Multimedia Content Producer, you will be at the heart of communicating the State Bar of Arizona’s mission to its members and the public. Day-to-day tasks will include creating and posting content to social media, collaborating with staff to create visually compelling content to promote SBA events and ongoing initiatives, shooting and editing video from SBA events, writing engaging video scripts, and actively brainstorming creative content for all digital platforms


FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Under minimal supervision, is responsible for developing and carrying out communications strategies which rely on print, broadcast, the web and social media. As directed by the Chief Communications Officer, this position supports those strategies by creating original content and repurposing that content for publication to multiple audiences across multiple platforms. These strategies are designed to improve public understanding of the justice system, provide useful information of a substantive and practical nature to members to help them better serve the public, and keep members aware of all the services and opportunities available to them through the SBA. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities listed below are essential to the employee’s position.

 

  • Guide internal and public information strategies for print and web using discretion and independent judgment.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in creating written and visual content on an array of legal issues.
  • Repurpose and manage distribution of content for various audiences across multiple print and new media platforms.
  • Responsible for seamlessly carrying-out a diverse array of on-going, reoccurring and one-time communications projects, simultaneously and within deadlines.
  • Collect and distribute stories of interest to the SBA to support sound news judgment when developing editorial content.
  • Produce, shoot and edit video elements for the web and social media while exercising discretion and independent judgment.
  • Professionally photograph SBA events, activities, award winners and other subjects as assigned.
  • Edit and format content based on style guidelines and assist in developing, maintaining and enforcing style guidelines.
  • Ensure campaign and design elements support the organization’s goals and mission.
  • Consistently measure the success of internal and public information strategies in order to adapt content and delivery to continually improve upon the organization’s goals.
  • Comfort with incorporating and managing all social media platforms, including ads and metrics.
  • Desire and ability to stay fluent in industry news to bring innovative ideas to enhance and improve the organization’s content.
  • Provide communications and staff support at SBA events and conferences as assigned.
  • Performs all other related duties, as assigned.

 

Education and/or Experience Required

Bachelor’s Degree (in journalism, communications, English or closely related-field preferred), plus two to three (2-3) years in a media-related environment. Skilled photographer and videographer.

Computer Skills

Microsoft windows environment with Office Suite to include formatting and production of documents and reports. Copywriting and editing experience using AP style. Experience with content management systems and familiarity with HTML Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro or similar design and editing software. Successful track record in using analytics and implementing SEO tools.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Required: Position may require travel within metropolitan area; thus, reliable transportation is required. If using personal vehicle, must ensure have appropriate driver’s license and insurance coverage.

Regular attendance is required. Additional hours including weekends may be required on a regular basis to fulfill duties of position. At times, individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.
