A. General Description:
The Digital Content Operations Director is an experienced strategist who will oversee the operations of ASHA's digital strategy for asha.org and social media portfolio. This position will manage packaging of content to our audiences across a multichannel environment. This person will also support the Chief Digital Communications Officer to measure effectiveness of content efforts and make recommendations to maximize audience engagement and enhance organization's enterprise-wide content strategy.
B. Responsibilities:
Manage a team of digital communications staff.
Optimize ASHA's content communication across asha.org, social media, and other digital channels to enhance member engagement.
Support the evolution of a digital strategy throughout the association with a focus on workflow, use of AI (including generative AI), key performance measurements, and adherence to ASHA's brand and taxonomy (site structure and terminology).
Use data and key performance indicators to measure the value of ASHA's content for members and make content strategy recommendations.
Contribute to an enterprise-wide content calendar with the goal of reducing organizational silos and finding opportunities for interdepartmental collaboration on content and channels.
Educate and support ASHA staff in content planning, retaining, and retirement of existing content.

Incumbent will receive broad goals from the coach. In the implementation of those goals, considerable latitude will be given.
E. Qualifications - Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
Knowledge and skills typically acquired through:
5-8 years in digital communications focusing on content development and management.
Experience in an association or not-for-profit environment.
B.A. / B.S. in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or similar major.
Scope and depth of technical skills/knowledge: Experience contributing to the development and/or evolution of a content strategy across a multichannel environment.
Experience using Workfront or similar communications project management software.
Demonstrated proficiency in using Google Analytics (and knowledge of GA4), for compiling and analyzing content performance insights.
Experience with content management systems (such as Optimizely or other similar CMS).
Experience with production platforms such as Brandwatch, Sprout, or similar social media platforms.
Experience with emerging AI environments and platforms.
Experience with Windows operating system, Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated track record of staying up to date on industry trends and emerging digital strategies and products.
Scope and depth of nontechnical skills/knowledge: Collaborative experience and knowledge gained by working in cross-divisional teams in the development of processes and execution of standards that will govern content across an organization.
Experience with strategy and process development.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and anticipate next steps.
Experience managing within a decentralized or hybrid product model.
Strong written and verbal communication and persuasive skills.
Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and flexible.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced communications environment.
