Job Summary:
The Packaging Designer is responsible for creating innovative, functional, and aesthetically appealing packaging solutions for a variety of products within the accessories division (legwear, bodywear, bags, hats) that ensure alignment with brand identity, consumer expectations, regulatory standards, and production requirements. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment on both the creative and technical sides of packaging to support the team with projects and daily tasks.

Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):
  • Create conceptual packaging artwork and appealing presentation boards for a variety of brands and product categories under the direction of the Senior Designers.
  • Prepare artwork, dyelines, mockups, and other packaging team tasks to facilitate daily workflow.
  • Create and update existing technical packaging files for factory development and production-ready assets.
  • Manage factory development with multiple suppliers; detailed layout review, sample requests, turnaround time expectations, sample comments, sample status, and sample organization for pending vs. approved standards
  • Digital and physical packaging submissions to the license and/or customer for approvals.
  • Ensure packaging for each program reflect the design direction, brand’s identity, and customer/distribution requirements.
  • Ensure packaging meets both aesthetic and functional standards before mass production.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in design or related area and some work experience in the design industry.
  • Highly proficient in MAC OS, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Experience in Graphic and Packaging Design and Development
  • Creative and artistic abilities with attention to detail and ability to visualize in three dimensions.
  • Proficient computer skills to include Adobe Suite programs and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and workload efficiently and seamlessly and follow-up.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills as required for effective interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team under critical time frames.
  • Self-driven and experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to apply good work habits to effectively complete assigned tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of the company/department.
This is an onsite position working daily in our New York Office. 

This position is contract to permanent placement. The hourly rate range is $30.00 - $39.00 p/h.
