Working with top-class industry talent, this role is perfect for the seasoned transformative concept artist looking to create something epic - collaborating with an incredible group of game developers focusing on individual experiences to build a wonderfully rich and cohesive product that is truly “Disney”. We are looking for a uniquely talented Senior Concept Artist to join us on a daring and exciting new project. The Senior Concept Artist will report to the Director, Art. This is a Full-Time role. Must submit a portfolio showcasing concept work. What You Will Do Collaborate with artists, designers, and other teams to create engaging, inspiring and appealing environment, gameplay and character concepts based on Disney’s robust portfolio of characters and worlds including Disney/Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars. Engage with art directors and other internal and external partners to create visual consistency and quality across the entire experience. Balance time, iteration and detail, working from thumbnails and sketches to finished illustrations and images. Help build visual guides, storyboards, production callouts, color scripts and other reference materials. Serve as a key member of a growing game development team at Disney, providing visual inspiration to internal and external stakeholders. Required Qualifications & Skills Know how and when to work quickly, and when to pursue final shipping detail and quality. Possess strong creative vision, an excellent eye for artistic quality and solid knowledge of current game development techniques used to achieve specific visual targets. Excel at environmental design, including lighting, composition, staging, and architecture. Demonstrate a deep understanding of human and creature anatomy, as well as character and costume design. Enjoy working in a diverse range of styles, from photo realistic to highly stylized. Enjoy creative problem-solving and building something new and innovative. Value building and being part of an inclusive and positive team culture. Education A Bachelor’s degree in Art and/or Design or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 plus years of game development experience, including holding a position of Concept Artist for at least 3 years. The hiring range for this remote position is $108,400 to $182,200 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
