Job Description We’re currently looking for a Lead Environment Concept Artist to join our new studio in Boston and help us develop Project Orion - the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next major video game in the Cyberpunk franchise. As a Lead Environment Concept Artist you will be in charge of building and leading a team in order to create truly breathtaking worlds for our upcoming game. Responsibilities: Lead by example in the hands-on production of AAA quality artwork specializing in realistic environment design in the Cyberpunk genre. Work closely with directors to establish a clear vision and direction for the environment concept team. Inspire, guide, and mentor other artists, ensuring environment designs meet the established artistic vision. Managing their personal growth and development within the company. Collaborate with department leads to ensure clear communication, consistent quality, and a unified artistic vision. As an individual contributor, create artwork that sets the bar for quality for the rest of the team. Support the recruitment of high quality artistic talent for the studio and making employment decisions. Qualifications Min. 8 years of experience in the video games industry and at least 1 shipped AAA title. Experience in leading a team. In-depth knowledge of the Cyberpunk genre and RPGs and a passion for environment design. Excellent visual and verbal communication skills, with the ability to efficiently demonstrate ideas and concepts and convey information clearly to others. Strong mentorship skills, with the ability to provide feedback, share knowledge, and help set the bar for quality. Exceptional artistic skills, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in realistic and sci-fi environment concept art, mood paintings, 3D environment designs, blockouts and paintovers, key-frames, and the ability to create fast ideation sketches such as storyboards. A solid background in traditional art such as industrial design, landscape painting or illustration with core foundational skills. Excellent knowledge of both 2D and 3D design software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the willingness to work collaboratively with other teams online in different time zones. Additional Information This job requires working in Boston, US. Working mode: in-office in a hybrid or full-time capacity.
