Videographer/Video Editor Job at Artisans in Las Vegas

Artisans, Las Vegas, NV, United States

Content Summary: Videographer/Video Editor at Las Vegas, for Artisans

Artisans Holdings Videographer/Video Editor position will be responsible for shooting, editing, and delivering high quality video content for a variety of mediums, including TV and digital commercials, social media content like YouTube shorts and Instagram REELS, and brand story videos for brands.

The role will also involve on-set experience composing shots, setting up cinematic lighting, operating sound equipment and assisting in bringing video gear to set locations.

You MUST submit your demo reel when you apply for this role.

Above all other job functions, the videographer and video editor role will be a high performer for 3 main roles:

  1. Cinematographer and videographer during production. This means you will be responsible for demonstrating strong on-set production skills, including camera operation, shot composition, lighting and sound, depending on the size and scale of the shoot. Many of our shoots are run-and-gun style, while others are in controlled studio environments, so we're looking for someone with experience in both.
  2. Video editor with current and trendy taste skewed towards modern video styles and storytelling. This means you not only watch YouTube video influencer content, but you put it into practice in your filming and editing. We utilize a lot of trending techniques in our videos, so the right fit for the role will come with similar experience. Narrative storytelling mixed with modern style storytelling would be the best way to describe what we do for most brands we work with.
  3. Learning our unique mix of video techniques that makes up our Timeless Motion video production process. Please watch our videos on TimelessMotion.com before applying to make sure this style of video is something you'll be excited to learn upon being hired. It's a mixture of hyperlapse, flow motion, super-slow motion, seamless transitions, hyper zooms, narrative storytelling, sound design and we're always iterating and throwing new techniques into the mix. If these techniques sound like the opposite of what you'd like doing, this role will not be a great fit. We have specific coursework to provide you with if hired, and we'd expect you to dive in and learn it.

We are looking for A players. High performers. Driven and passionate creatives. We recently won our first EMMY and we're looking for someone to help us win at least a dozen more. If this is not you, please do not apply.

Who you are as a human if you want to crush this position:
  • I am technically curious and I'm always on the lookout for new and innovative techniques or tools that can help make a project better or faster.
  • I have been around video production long enough to know that there will be the occasional late nights and weekends as part of this role and I am completely okay with that and I'll be able to be there for the team when they need me.
  • I'm comfortable working on super tight deadlines when needed
  • I exude a positive presence, energy, and demeanor-even when deadlines are tight and the pressure is high.
  • I have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects.
  • I am humble and hungry to grow, even though I have experience. I strive to be the best in the world at my role and recognize and invite the need to continue growing.
  • I have a sense of urgency-I think fast, move fast, fail fast, and learn fast.
  • I own my $h!t-When I tell someone I'll do it, consider it done. I take accountability when I mess up and welcome criticism with gratitude.
  • I have people's back-I will pitch in when someone needs help without asking and I won't expect anything in return.
  • I am bold-I don't feel awkward or upset when giving or receiving critical feedback.
  • I have a passion for the entrepreneurial spirit of companies and what comes along with it.
Who you are when it comes to production and post-production proficiency if you're right for the position:
  • I'm proficient in the editing tab of DaVinci Resolve. I can navigate complex node trees in the color tab and I am also proficient using different codec exports in the delivery tab. Go ahead and quiz me during the interview, I'll be ready.
  • I can navigate Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects seamlessly through the use of dynamic linking.
  • I know how to keyframe and add motion blur to give a scene some extra sauce and help make a video pop.
  • I can key, rotoscope and composite elements to deliver a super clean final product and I've done this before on multiple projects. Happy to show you examples if needed.
  • I understand that Timeless Motion style videos will require using photography-related post-production work and that means I'll be using Lightroom, Lightroom Classic and LR Timelapse. I either already know it, or I am excited to learn it.
  • I keep my project files clean and organized because I understand that other team members will need to be able to find stuff sometimes when I am not around.
