About Us:

JetPens is an online retailer, specializing in premium writing instruments and office supplies. We have been featured in Wired, New York Times, and CNBC. We are looking for a video production specialist to support our marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality videos for the JetPens YouTube Channel (870,000 subscribers): https://www.youtube.com/@JetPens
    • Create storyboards based on video scripts.
    • Design sets that match the videos' themes.
    • Shoot footage and record audio.
    • Edit videos using Adobe Premiere, including adding motion graphics with After Effects, editing audio with Audition, etc.
  • Manage JetPens YouTube Channel.
    • Upload completed videos and fill out video descriptions, cards, end cards, etc.
    • Organize playlists.
    • Propose original and creative content ideas based on current trends.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional video production skills, including recording footage and editing.
  • In-depth experience using video production equipment, including lighting, DSLR and/or mirrorless cameras, audio equipment, etc.
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Audition.
  • Able to film oneself independently, including B-roll in-action shots.
  • Able to execute ideas quickly and have a results-driven and efficient workflow.
  • Excellent communication skills and reliable team player.
  • Good visual design skills and sensibilities, and good taste in music.
  • Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail.
  • Capable of managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management ability.
  • At least 3-4 years of videographer experience in a small studio environment.
  • This is an on-site full-time only position. We are located in San Jose, CA.
Bonus Points:
  • Able to ideate and write scripts.
  • Previous knowledge and passion for writing instruments and office supplies.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience with Sony Full Frame Mirrorless Cameras.
Hours & Pay:
  • Salary range: $50K-$80K / Year
  • Business hours are 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
