The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Broadcast Sys Integration, the Broadcast Engineer will provide 24x7 technical support for all television broadcast systems required to support HSN's live broadcast. You will use your IT skills and understanding of computer networks and storage as they relate to broadcasting. Your expertise will be used to troubleshoot technical issues and user errors while demonstrating a desire to increase operational knowledge of all equipment and systems used. The schedule for this position will be day shifts, however, you will have the ability to work overnight shifts when required at our St. Petersburg, FL location.

Your Impact
- You will provide technical and customer support for HSN's broadcast facility.
- You will accept new assignments and technological challenges.
- You will perform basic troubleshooting and repair of all broadcasts related equipment including cameras and camera robotic systems, switchers, routers, broadcast related computer and graphics systems, wireless communications gear such as mics and IFBs.
- You will work with users of the equipment to ensure operational knowledge and correct performance of equipment.
- You will diagnose system issues and either repair or replace affected system.
- You will document all reported equipment issues and work performed during assigned shift.
- You can terminate industry standard cables such as BNC and RJ45
- You will support all typical broadcast setups such as cabling branding monitors and relocation of cameras and SMPTE cables.
- 2 years' experience in the television broadcast industry in an engineering or EIT role.
- Experience with resolving technical issues to all levels of technical users.
- Experience with prompt transitions among and between job projects, and tasks.
- Flexible to work any shift in a 24/7 Live Television environment.
Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
