Modifly is looking for a full-time Paid Media Strategist with experience and passion for performance marketing and digital marketing strategy. In this role you will lead the development and implementation of integrated marketing strategies across select clients while providing direction to paid media team members supporting your accounts. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with our in-house creative team, putting your personal touch on clients' ads, as well as building and maintaining strong client relationships alongside the account management team.
The ideal Paid Media Strategist is creatively minded and performance driven, thrives in collaboration, and has a knock for solving problems. This dynamic role demands independent decision-making, flexibility to pivot based on client needs, and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both internal teams and clients.
Applicants should have keen awareness of the social media advertising landscape and the ability to analyze data and identify performance trends are essential. Experience with developing marketing creative briefs, implementing technical platform tracking on website backends, and managing campaigns on platforms such as Snapchat, Pinterest, Youtube, Tiktok, and retail media networks like Amazon, Walmart, or Instacart is highly preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop media strategies across Paid Search, Paid Social, and Retail Media channels, including media mix, budget allocation, audience segmentation, creative strategy, KPI development and measurement frameworks Lead client planning discussions to define KPIs, align strategic roadmaps, and provide insights for ongoing performance improvements Gain a deep understanding of the client's business, goals, and competitive landscape Own strategy and execution for paid media channels, ensuring campaigns meet or surpass client goals Lead the execution of paid advertising campaigns across channels including campaign creation, forecasting, budgeting, pacing, testing, and optimization across multiple platforms Analyze performance data to provide intelligent analysis, interpretation and appropriate action plans based on data driven conclusions Determine client benchmarks and forecasts and implement optimizations to hit client KPIs in the quickest time possible through owned channels Generate new business development through service expansion identification, strategic audits, and development of paid advertising pipeline Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm content and ads, drawing on client needs and input, as needed Translate technical concepts into actionable, tactical, and strategic action plans Develop growth of junior team members through delegation, training, and coaching Develop higher level client communication and account strategy, including account launch strategy, long-term campaign management, and growth/scaling strategy Other applicable or related duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS
4-6+ years of experience in media buying, including Google & Facebook platforms Hands-on experience with retail media platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, Instacart is highly preferred Proven ability to craft strategies aligned with client goals and troubleshoot performance dips to implement effective pivots Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients, highlighting successes and areas for improvement Experience leading cross-channel client engagements with minimal oversight Solid understanding of the marketing funnel and the role of each channel within it High level of self accountability to get work done and push the team to hit all goals Understanding of a startup environment and the flexibility needed in order to be successful Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and respond to situations quickly Time management and project management skills Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision while contributing to team success. Prior experience working with Google Search, Google Shopping, Facebook Paid advertising, retail media platforms, and e-commerce/DTC marketing ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must reside in the greater Chicago or Cincinnati area Full-time with flexible hybrid schedule (2-3 days a week onsite) Full benefits including health, dental, vision, 401K, plus unlimited PTO
$90,000 - $105,000 a year
based on experience
