AUDIO-VISUAL INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN - AUSTIN, TX
- No office in Austin, candidates will be dispatched from their home.
- Jobs will primarily be in and around Austin. For jobs that require more than that, candidates will be able to expense their costs.
- Per diem potentially on the table as well if there is a project that calls for extended stays.
- Need to have reliable transportation
- Need to be able to pass a background check and drug test
Position Summary: One of Insight Global’s major clients are seeking multiple AV Installation Technicians in Austin, TX to assist with large ongoing and upcoming projects for some of their local clientele. Selected candidates will be responsible for the cabling and installation of audiovisual systems throughout large corporate buildings and will include spaces such as training and conference rooms, shared workspaces, break rooms, and digital signage among other areas. This position requires periodic overtime and may require regular overtime for extended periods to meet fabrication deadlines
Required Qualifications / skills:
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years of associated audiovisual installation or fabrication experience.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must have or be willing to obtain Electrical Trainee Card.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and adhere to our insurance requirements.
- Familiarity with a wide range of audio, video and networking equipment.
- Knowledgeable of low voltage electrical concepts.
- Possess basic carpentry and/or installation skills.
- Proficient use and safety with power tools.
- Good verbal communication skills and good customer service skills.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
Compensation:
$_19___/hr to $__25___/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
