Spruce Lake hosts over 30,000 guests each year, including church groups and individual/family retreats.

The Audio-Visual Intern (AVI) is a member of the summer team and is responsible for completing tasks in a variety of departments to provide support to Spruce Lake summer programs and guests. The AVI will be the primary person to run all sound, projection, and other similar tasks as needed during the summer. During weeks with less AV needs, they will work in a variety of departments such as food service, housekeeping, snack shop, programming, or facilities.

• Growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and spiritual maturity to lead self and others.
• Must affirm, live and model Spruce Lake Ministries mission, vision, statement of faith and core values.
• Conducts him/herself in a manner that is above reproach.

Accountability: Accountable to Summer Team Manager/s and assigned department supervisors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Maturity and flexibility to work in a variety of roles.

Physical Requirements: Good physical health to meet demands of camp environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Almost all duties include camper and guest interaction. Summer Team members are expected to interact positively and graciously modeling Spruce Lake Ministry values.

• Import songs and run projection using EasyWorship platform
• Complete set-ups and tear downs for all sound needs
• Balance and EQ sound levels during rehearsals and live events
• Record sermons
• Manage livestreams as needed
• Maintain organization of the prep room closet in the program center
• Complete set-ups for outdoor or indoor movies
• Complete set-ups for outdoor campfire songs or other events with portable system
• Attend meetings with guest group leaders and review notes for guest group events with specialized requests

Other Responsibilities

• Attend weekly staff meetings and prayer times.
• Other duties as assigned.
