We are looking for an experienced audiovisual and event operations professional who models these values in their work behavior, decision-making, personal contributions, and guest interactions.This role will pay an hourly wage of $23 to $25.For PT roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.This position will remain open until Dec 31, 2024.ResponsibilitiesSet up and strike chairs, tables, staging, and related equipmentTransport carts, tables, chairs, boxes, and dance floorAssist Event Managers with event needs and changes as requested Setup audiovisual and catering equipment as directedOperate motorized equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, carpet extractors, and related equipment as needed for projectsAssist with basic maintenance such as pressure washing, touch-up painting, and monitoring the condition of furniture and equipment. Regular inspection of the facility for damage and overall cleanlinessAssist with cleaning of the facility as neededSet up and strike various audiovisual equipment and components for eventsOperate and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment prior to and during scheduled eventsMeet and greet presenters prior to event startAct as a dedicated Audiovisual Technician for events when needed, operating multiple components including lights, mixer board, slides and videosPerform routine preventative maintenance and repairs of audiovisual equipmentMaintain inventory of equipment and consumablesPre and post events and rehearsals with clients, presenters, and event managersGuidance on equipment lifecycle, purchases and projects as neededQualificationsMinimum 1-2 years of related experience in Audio/Visual and Event Operations Support in a public assembly venue.Proficient in the use of personal computer software including Microsoft Office applications, event management software and Internet proficiency.Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related field required.The ideal candidate must be willing to work extended, often irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by events.Must demonstrate excellent customer service, listening and communication skills.Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments under tight deadlines.Experience with specialized training and in technical services area a mustDemonstrated knowledge of basic tools and methods to set-up and strike various items including tables, chairs, and stages. The candidate must be able to read and interpret plan drawings in conjunction with written guidelines to achieve various setup needs. Can read, write, and speak English.
