JSA is hiring for a Marketing Content Coordinator who contributes to the growth and business reach of the company. In this role you will administer innovative communications that support the strategic priorities and culture of JSA across a wide range of digital and print platforms. **This position will be responsible for the marketing territory of NC, SC and GA. Candidate(s) must be able to conduct marketing visits to agents/agencies within this region.**

Current Chairman, Wayne Sumner, started JSA with just one other employee and focused on Police Professional in North Carolina. Today the company is led by our President & CEO, Danielle Wade, Wayne Sumner's daughter, has grown to over 80 employees, and has expanded our ability to write in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, and Maryland. JSA currently has offices located in Boone, NC, Charlotte, NC and Richmond, VA . JSA offers a wide range of products including property, casualty, automobile, garage, professional and personal lines.

Position Description:

Summary

The Jackson Sumner & Associates (JSA) Content Coordinator administers innovative communications that support the strategic priorities and culture of JSA across a wide range of digital and print platforms. Responsible for the development of content and handles its delivery systems, and serves as project manager for specific marketing efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Three to five years of experience with digital communications and marketing, or equivalent education
  • Proficiency in digital content strategy, and developing/managing websites, blogs, email newsletters, and social media content.
  • Extremely detail-oriented, with strong ability to organize workflow and coordinate multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment, including the ability to set and meet realistic project timelines.
  • Fluent in: Wordpress, Google Apps, Adobe PhotoShop, all major Social Media platforms, Microsoft Office, and basic photography, videography and video editing principles.
  • Fluency using graphic/web design and video editing applications, including the Adobe Creative Suite and Premier, and other relevant applications.
  • Interest and eagerness to learn about the business of insurance
  • Strong analytical skills necessary to condense and interpret digital data and statistics.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Essential Functions

  • Manages content for www.jsausa.com and all social media platforms
  • Plans and produces dynamic content to share the culture and brand of JSA, and develops effective distribution of this content to grow prospective customers, engage current JSA agents and enhance JSA's presence.
  • Administers JSA's email marketing which includes writing, scheduling, designing, and contact list recruitment and management.
  • Collaborates to create and implement strategic editorial schedules and campaigns.
  • Copy-edits print and electronic marketing & communications publications; assist with writing publications.
  • Assist with designing JSA materials including product flyers, emails, and other digital and print materials using established brand guidelines.
  • Monitors all JSA content and mentions of JSA online to ensure information is current, consistent, and reflective of brand and messaging.
  • Provides administrative support to the Director of Marketing and other JSA leaders as needed.
  • Responsible for ordering marketing supplies & fulfillment of mailed gifts/promotions to agencies
  • Represents JSA at industry events as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned
