Job Title: ABBA Director of Communications and Digital Content Location: Bryan, TX Reports to: Executive Vice President About ABBA: The American Brahman Breeders Association (ABBA) is a globally recognized leader in the cattle industry, dedicated to maintaining breed records, promoting the Brahman breed, and supporting its members through innovative programs and resources. Job Summary: The Director of Communications and Digital Content is responsible for overseeing all promotional efforts, digital platforms, and communication strategies for ABBA. This includes managing social media, the ABBA website, email marketing campaigns, and the Shopify store. The role is pivotal in increasing visibility, enhancing engagement, and maintaining ABBA’s reputation for excellence. The Director will collaborate with the Executive Vice President to implement the Association’s communication goals. Key Responsibilities: Digital Content Management: • Create and manage engaging social media content across platforms to drive member and public engagement. • Update and maintain the ABBA website using WordPress, ensuring timely, relevant, and user-friendly content. • Maintain and organize ABBA’s photo archives for promotional use. • Design and execute email marketing campaigns to communicate updates, events, and resources effectively. Promotional Programs: • Develop and lead promotional initiatives aligned with ABBA’s mission and goals. • Design innovative marketing materials and campaigns to expand global recognition of the Brahman breed. • Analyze communication efforts using data insights to refine strategies and enhance effectiveness. Shopify Store Management: • Oversee the ABBA online store, including inventory management, product listings, and order fulfillment. • Monitor e-commerce trends and update the store to remain competitive and relevant. • Develop and execute marketing content to promote retail products. Event Support: • Represent ABBA at events, tradeshows, and member functions to promote the Association’s initiatives. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent branding and messaging across platforms and events. About You: You are a creative, self-motivated professional with exceptional organizational skills and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities. You thrive in dynamic environments and excel in both independent and collaborative work settings. You Have: • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field. • Proficiency in GSuite, WordPress, Dropbox, and the ability to quickly learn new software (Shopify experience is a plus). • Strong understanding of social media platforms, e-commerce, and digital marketing strategies. • Proven customer service and interpersonal communication skills. • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. • A positive, team-oriented mindset with flexibility and attention to detail. • A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and access to personal transportation. • (Preferred) Experience in the agriculture industry or knowledge of livestock marketing.
