About You:

We are looking for the best Content Marketer in golf. You MUST love and know golf! You need a high golf IQ. Be prepared to bring your takes. You must live in Austin, Texas. If you apply for the job and do not live in Austin, you must tell us that you are moving here or we will not review your application. Or you can just pretend you already live here (this has happened before and he is going to read your application at some point). 

You must love content, storytelling, writing, reading, taking photos, short videos, editing, hooks, and humor. You gotta be fast. This role requires rapid turnaround - launch fast on a task and get things done. This isn’t an agency brand strategy role - it’s all execution (and some strategy). We came up with last year's Spotify wrapped carousel and it was out 3 hours later. That’s who you are. You have an idea, you get it done, you get it out. 

You must be versed in all the tools needed to create these things. You are a student of the world of golf and you have a deep desire to create and share that love. You have been wanting this job for a long time and are looking to join a team that can support your dreams of making golf content that lives into our brand and mission. 

 

About The Role:

Random Golf Club has four departments - Partnerships, Content Production, Membership and Pro Shop. The Content Marketer communicates the brand to our community - thus owning the Membership and Pro Shop side of our brand. You own how we talk about our beautiful events, memberships, chapters, and our gear on all channels - social, mid roll, newsletter, website, SMS, Facebook, Reddit, local golf forums, etc. Your playing field is mid to bottom funnel and your incentives are directly aligned with this. Your resume reflects this level of organic content marketing - not paid marketing, not direct marketing, not brand marketing, not partnerships and not sponsorships. This is specifically organic content marketing and it’s creative. 

We have never paid for an impression and that should excite you. Our content speaks for itself.

About The Company:

As far as company culture, we are pretty flexible. We have unlimited PTO, benefits, great holiday schedules and we also have a pretty chill work remote policy. The main rule is - support your team, achieve your goals. As Content Marketer, you might travel. Whether in regards to events, production, merchandise shoots - expect travel in non glamorous conditions.

Goals:

  • Increase B2C sessions on website
  • Increase newsletter + SMS signups
  • Craft and distribute brand story on all social platforms 
  • Create comprehensive 365 calendar for all B2C marketing
 

Accountabilities:

  • Create and execute GTM strategy for Membership 
    • Find, create, distribute content for email and social 
  • Create and execute GTM strategy for Pro Shop
    • Execute merch and apparel shoots
    • Prep and distribute content for email and social 
  • Design and write emails + newsletter
  • Market chapters, captains + WhatsApp channels
  • Own brand and B2C social content creation and distribution
  • Manage resources to execute production needs 
    • Event shooters
    • Flat lays for Pro Shop
    • Resource imagery from future events 
    • UGC 
    • Editing
