This position will be working onsite from Miami.
Position Summary:
This is an important, strategic role in the implementation of public relations programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for the organization. This team member should be a skilled, seasoned communications and public relations professional, capable of providing expert advice to senior executives, directing major projects and project teams, and producing content of the highest caliber. Sound professional instincts, the ability to manage important internal and external relationships, and deep professional knowledge are required, since the team member will be the face and voice of the brand on important projects. The position may focus on any of several professional areas, including brand communications, public relations, content creation, written communications, and project management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops, manages, and executes strategies to create impactful global content strategies for Royal Caribbean International, subject matter experts, products & services, and events.
Directs the activities of external agencies and internal teams as needed.
Responsible for written communications, including press releases, executive communications (internal and external letters, speeches, etc.), statements, and editing content, pitching content ideas.
Oversees the press center and creation of all related content.
Manages the SeaViews editorial team company’s official external blog ensuring all content is aligned with overall media and marketing strategies and messaging.
Responsible for reviewing and analyzing analytics of content strategies and converting data into actionable content recommendations/improvements.
Owns and manages significant communication projects, public relations, and processes.
Oversees and manages significant communications programs, which may include external content production, TV/film opportunities, content distribution, etc.
Leads and coaches subject matter experts such as senior media relations professionals, speechwriters, project managers, and other key contributors.
Builds and maintains professional relationships with key internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Newbuilding, Product Development, Sales, and RCG Corporate Communications.
Independently develops and executes appropriate strategies to address communications challenges.
Provides leadership to supporting internal clients on project teams.
Serves as leading-edge, subject-matter expert on key professional disciplines.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent, directly related experience required.
7+ years of PR agency, public relations, journalism or corporate communications experience.
Proven experience in a PR strategic leadership role, managing numerous internal and external stakeholders.
Strong writing skills. Press release writing, story narrative and message creation experience a plus.
Understanding of social media, influencers, emerging media trends, and content trends.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Experience of managing relationships with a PR agency.
Flexibility to work outside normal hours and travel as appropriate (domestic & international).
Experience in travel industry and working for a global company ideal, but not essential.
Strong ability to interact with senior executive team and build effective relationships within the company, public, guests, and media.
Strong planning capabilities to identify and prioritize communication strategies and activities as well as to meet the deadlines required to support communications and business needs.
Excellent relationship builder ability to create, foster and leverage relationships to achieve outstanding results.
Excellent research, written, verbal and presentation skills.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Goal oriented and action-focused, practical, and self-disciplined.
Ability to coordinate projects or participate in cross-functional teams.
Effortlessly organized self-motivator with a wealth of creative ideas.
Strong project management, planning, evaluation, and analytical capabilities.
Ability to evaluate and provide constructive feedback in a timely manner.
Demonstrate the ability to quickly analyze situations and alternatives and make prudent decisions.
Finger on the pulse - always up to date with trends, both inside and outside our industry.
Outstanding English language proficiency. Proficiency in Spanish desirable.
