Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative leader to fill a Creative Director position within the agency. We seek an individual with experience in setting the creative vision for clients and guiding creative teams to bring out the best work within. The ideal candidate has a core strategy discipline, but has experience across the full spectrum of creative output, including design, copywriting, production, etc. We seek someone with a desire to manage and develop people and client relationships and their campaigns, to comfortably act in a client-facing role and as top collaborator among a team of graphic artists, web developers, video producers, copywriters, and brand strategists across the firm and within our family of companies. This role will routinely collaborate across our Michigan footprint specifically, including Detroit and Grand Rapids.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Act as a chief creative collaborator to develop extraordinary ideas and campaigns that drive positive business outcomes for our clients.
Work with Account Teams to set vision, strategy and direction for clients.
Partner to develop and deliver on effective creative briefs while setting the creative vision for projects and accounts.
Ensure that all creative work is strategically sound, well-written, beautifully designed, presented well, solves project problems, and is on-budget.
Refine and enhance creative process, tools, and best practices.
Manage project teams to put people in positions to optimally support optimal client/team outcomes.
Participate as an individual contributor on projects, if needed (within your creative discipline).
Lead client creative strategy and new business workshops.
Lead client presentations.
Lead internal reviews, meetings, and brainstorms.
Enthusiastically represent the agency in new business and first-impression meetings.
Act as capable advocate for our creative ideas as an expert in our clients’ work.
Lead creative teammates, giving them direction and holding them accountable to create at their best capability.
Remain current with branding and marketing trends and strategies.
The ideal candidate…
Experience in building brand campaigns that extend across all marketing channels, economic development experience a plus.
Skilled communicator and presenter; extraordinary in front of clients.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
5+ years (or equivalent experience) as a director-level creative in branding, marketing, and/or advertising.
A bachelor's degree in journalism, advertising, fine arts, communications or similar.
B2B, B2C and D2C experience in one or more industries spanning Economic Development, Automotive, Grocery/CPG, Healthtech, Furniture, Education, Travel & Leisure.
Possess a portfolio of creative work and campaigns that have driven successful business outcomes.
The ideal candidate has agency experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Occasional travel is expected for this position.
