Summary /Objective
Provide 2-D & 3-D products designs, drafting and print making to support manufacturing throughout the entire organization.  Position will require candidate to manipulate files, produce manufacturing drawings and material cut files.  The position supports the creation of work orders and job routings sent to the shop floor.  Candidate will interact with customers, vendors, co-workers and is expected to perform in a professional manner and present a professional image at all times.

• Candidate shall follow in house engineering processes and provide 2-D & 3-D modeling, cut files and manufacturing drawings. Position will offer unique and complex challenges that require persistence, teamwork, creative thinking and a positive attitude.
• Candidate will achieve maximum results while adhering to quality and safety standards and procedures. Maintains a clean and organized work area.  Performs basic equipment maintenance in compliance with preventative/predictive schedules.  Must thrive in a fast-paced environment where the ability to multitask is essential.
• Confers with customers and others within the organization to determine specifications and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Must have the ability to multitask, set and shift priorities as business dictates, while balancing the need to work quickly to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality standards. Painstaking attention to detail is essential.
• Confers with the Estimating Manager, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate the design process.
• May assist with the development of cost projections and the establishment of departmental goals and objectives. Will perform all other job duties as assigned.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

This job operates in a manufacturing shop environment. Exposure to noise, chemicals, and materials consistent with a manufacturing environment is constant. This is a physically demanding position; maintaining the physical strength to lift materials up to 50 pounds, endure prolonged standing, dexterity, and stamina is necessary. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time or part-time position. This position is assigned to either a day or evening shift. Overtime work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This position requires minimal travel, if any, between businesses or to training sessions.

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum two-year technical degree in drafting, design, engineering, etc. Demonstrated skill may be a substitute for the educational requirement.
• Must have experience in developing and maintaining electronic records systems.
• Must have a reliable source of transportation. Attendance is crucial.  Must have the ability to work with a multitude of employees with varying abilities, skill levels and experience.  Knowledge of welding, machining and manufacturing symbols and processes is essential.
• Good planning, organization and follow up skills required. Must be able to communicate internally and externally with broad and diverse groups. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where the ability to multitask is essential.
• Team Player mentality across a multitude of cross-functional levels within an employee-driven work environment. Willingly assist vendors. Customers and co-workers to achieve maximum service levels, profitability, and growth. 

Preferred Education and Experience

• Prefer BS in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing or design engineering.
• Additional technical training in machining centers, mills, lathes, etc.
