A client of Insight Global is looking to hire an Electrical CAD Technician to their team in Akron, OH. The Electrical CAD Technician will function as a member of a technical team alongside Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers and will be responsible for the creation and revision of technical drawings associated with the design/engineering of wiring schematics within the Transmission & Distribution industry. Working on a team of 3-5 people, this individual will be the sole drafting resource responsible for producing and handling CAD files for protection & controls, one lines, and wiring schematics for substations. Responsibilities also include assisting with preparing new drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components. This position is required to work onsite 5 days/week. 1-4 years of relevant drafting experience Ability to work onsite 5 days/week in Akron

• Prior drafting experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Electrical Associates Degree OR Certification combined with 2+ years of experience
