Senior Radio Frequency Design Engineer - Power

As an RF Power Design Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our Module Design Team. Your expertise will drive the development of state-of-the-art power amplifiers (PAs), RF switches, low-noise amplifiers (LNAs), and front-end modules. These components are critical for automotive and IoT applications, enabling the industry’s transition to the next generation of data superhighways.

About the company you will join: Are a leading Semiconductor Company who are paving the way on Solutions in high-performance analog/digital and RF semiconductors, acoustic filters, and ultra-dense System in Package solutions. They are powering the next wireless revolution, connecting everyone and everything through cutting-edge technologies.

As a Senior Radio Frequency Design Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the new product development team. Your expertise in RF circuit design and system integration will play a critical role in advancing state-of-the-art solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design RF power amplifiers and related circuits using technologies such as GaAs, GaN, SOI, or SiGe.
  • Conduct lab testing and characterization of highly integrated RF System in Package (SiP) solutions.
  • Oversee detailed IC layout, lab evaluation, and back-fitting of designs.
  • Present comprehensive design reviews covering IC, package, electromagnetic (EM), and thermal considerations.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organization, demonstrating problem-solving skills, data analysis, and critical thinking.
  • Support all stages of product development, from concept to mass production.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent.
  • 12 years of industry experience or equivalent post-graduate academic experience (Master’s or Ph.D.).
  • Strong knowledge of power amplifiers, including modes of operation, matching, bias, and architectural considerations.
  • Experience with IC tape-outs in Silicon, GaAs HBT, GaN, or other relevant semiconductor technologies.
  • Proficiency in electromagnetic (EM) knowledge, including passive components (couplers, baluns, matching networks).
  • Expertise with Keysight ADS, Cadence, and associated simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with EM simulators such as Momentum, HFSS, and EMX.
  • Comfort with modern scripting or coding languages (a plus).
  • Good understanding of RF systems and familiarity with wireless standards, including 3GPP cellular (2G/3G/4G/5G/6G), 802.11 WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, and more.
  • Experience in FEM product development and customer interaction.
