Vidosh North is hiring: Landscape Design & Build Crew Leader in Petoskey

Salary: $15-$27 an hour

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Landscape Design & Build Crew Leader to join our team. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $15-$27 per hour, depending on experience, with paid overtime. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, with some weekends required.

Responsibilities for the Landscape Design & Build Crew Leader include:

• Lead and supervise a landscape crew, ensuring the highest quality of work and adherence to project timelines;
• Construction of patios, steps, fire pits, and decorative/retaining walls using various stone types;
• Planting and layout of trees, perennials, and shrubs, ensuring correct planting techniques;
• Perform excavation, rough and fine grading, and manage sod removal and landscape bed creation;
• Oversee the delivery and spreading of stone, soil, gravel, sand, and mulch;
• Manage the installation of sod, hydroseeding, and water features;
• Communicate daily project details and progress with the project manager;
• Ensure projects are completed within budget and maintain a high standard of workmanship.

Requirements for the Landscape Design & Build Crew Leader include:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
• 3+ years of landscaping experience required;
• Chauffeur's License required;
• Some experience reading and interpret blueprints required;
• Strong understanding of planting techniques and landscape construction required;
• Reliable transportation required;
• Valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle report.
