Job Overview Dwellify is a national leader in online home remodel services, committed to transforming homes with a customer-centered approach that emphasizes aesthetics, craftsmanship, convenience, and value. We are seeking an experienced Designer (Sales) who is passionate about interior design and thrives on helping clients bring their home remodeling visions to life. This consultative design development role engages with customers after they are qualified through inbound sales, guiding them through the process of selecting room layouts, materials, and design elements that align with their style and budget. Collaborating closely with the layout design team, you’ll ensure that each remodel is thoughtfully planned and executed, creating beautiful spaces that reflect the client’s vision. Key Responsibilities Client Consultation: Engage with customers to understand their design vision, style preferences, and functional needs. Provide guidance on room layouts, finishes, fixtures, and materials that align with their goals and budget. Material & Finish Selection: Assist clients in selecting materials, fixtures, and finishes that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. Offer expert advice on design trends, durability, and cost-effectiveness. Budget Management: Work closely with clients to manage expectations and stay within budget constraints, offering alternative materials or design adjustments when necessary. Collaboration with Layout Designer: Partner with Dwellify’s layout designers responsible for cabinet design and space planning. Coordinate design elements to ensure each project flows seamlessly, is cohesive, and aligns with the client’s vision. Cabinet Design Knowledge (Preferred): While cabinet design will primarily be managed by a layout designer, familiarity with 2020 Design or similar software is a plus. Use this skill to make recommendations or small adjustments to cabinet plans when needed. Project Coordination & Documentation: Track client progress, proposals, and design approvals in HubSpot CRM. Maintain accurate records of each project’s stages to ensure clear communication and timely follow-ups. Customer Experience: Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the design process, keeping them informed of progress, addressing questions, and providing reassurance to ensure a positive experience from start to finish. Requirements Design Knowledge: A passion for interior design with experience in guiding material selections, room layouts, and finish choices. Experience with cabinet design or using 2020 Design software is a plus. Customer-Centric Approach: Ability to empathize with clients, address their needs, and manage expectations, ensuring they feel supported throughout the remodel process. Skills: Strong consultative project management and communication skills with the ability to connect with clients, listen to their needs, and translate their vision into a tangible plan. Team Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills to work closely with the layout designer, project management, and other Dwellify departments to ensure a seamless customer experience. Tech Proficiency: Familiar with HubSpot or other CRMs, basic project management tools, and digital design or layout software are helpful. Knowledge of 2020 Design software or similar cabinet design tools is advantageous. Experience: 2 years in a interior design management or consultative sales role, ideally within interior design, remodeling, or home improvement industries. Compensation and Benefits Compensation: Base salary of $50,000 (dependent on experience) plus sales incentive pay, providing the opportunity for earnings growth based on performance.
