Senior Designer - Men's Outdoor Lifestyle Job at Solomon Page in Austin

Our client is a leading men’s lifestyle DTC brand looking for a product-obsessed, highly creative and innovative Senior Designer to help grow the outdoor and active brand portfolio. This Senior Designer will work closely with the Design Director and key stakeholders to create a best-in-class product assortment that captures market trends, the latest technologies, and inspires the customer. We are looking for someone who is passionate about all aspects of the outdoor and active industry with a keen eye for design, construction, and technical fabrics. Will be responsible for developing concept through to execution across all categories. This role is an in-office work environment and involves relocation to the south. The client will assist in relocation for the right candidate. The salary range for this role is in the ​$120krange based on experience. Respo n sibilities: Drive the product design process from ideation, concept, fabric development, lab dip selection, sketching, tech packs, proto review, fit review, and finalCollab orate with PLM and Merchandising to create a best-in-class assortment that resonates with the customer with support from data and market trendsContin ue to push and innovate the product offering through best-in-class fabrics and trimsPartne r with the Product Development & Production team to ensure design vision is executed while hitting key milestones and metrics like delivery and gross marginLead w eekly fittings with Technical Design to ensure fit, quality, and construction standards meet internal standardsTravel domestically and overseas for market research, sample shopping, technical fabric research, and trend research for active and outdoorsWork w ith leadership and key stakeholders to shape the long-term vision and strategy of our activewear brands Quali f ications: 5 ye a rs of experience in designing men's apparelBA, BF A, or BS in Design (or equivalent) requiredExperi ence with technical Outerwear, Activewear, or OutdoorExtrem ely well versed in activewear construction, fabrics, and trims with a pulse on new market innovationsHighly creative and driven and able to stay extremely organized in a fast-paced environmentAbilit y to travel domestically and overseas for development, samples, and factory collaborationExperi ence in crafting the design vision for multiple categories and brandsDeadli ne driven and obsessed with the detailsStrong communication skills and experience working with international vendorsHighly proficient at Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, and working in PLMAbilit y to collaborate and work cross-functionally If yo u meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
