Senior DesignerDepartment: Design Team (Interior Architecture)Employment Type: Full TimeLocation: San Francisco, CAReporting To: Principal and DirectorCompensation: $120,000 - $160,000 / yearDescriptionNICOLEHOLLIS, an award-winning, large size Interior Design firm seeks a talented and motivated Senior Designer specializing in Interior Architecture.The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in both high-end residential and hospitality interior design; with excellent presentation and drafting skills. The Senior Designer will work under the Principal and Director to oversee all aspects of the design process - from schematic design to construction documentation and construction management. The Senior Designer will be expected to develop a visual presentation of the design concept and successfully communicate the Principal and client's objectives. The Senior Designer will also manage a team of designers in all project related responsibilities, client meetings and contractor/vendor coordination.RESPONSIBILITIESFormulate preliminary space plans, design concept studies and sketches that integrate the client's needs and are based on knowledge of the principles of interior design and theories of human behavior; appropriately convey conceptual, functional, life-cycle performance, environmental, and safety requirements.Research, analysis, coordinate and develop all contract documents including: design presentations, moodboards, 3D Models & Visualization, rendered floorplans and elevations, specifications and drawings, full set of construction drawings, specification packages, custom furniture design and documentationPrepare specifications and schedules with accurate product information for all millwork, casework, appliances, plumbing, hardware finishes, and accessoriesPrepare construction documents, consisting of plans, elevations, details and specifications, to illustrate non-structural and/or non-seismic partition layouts; power and communications locations; reflected ceiling plans and lighting designs; materials and finishesLead team in performing field visits/measurements and construction administration services including site visits, responding to RFIs, reviewing control samples and shop drawings, coordinating with consultants, manufacturers, and contractors, and completing punch listPreparation of construction documents to adhere to regional building and fire codes, municipal codes, and any other jurisdictional statutes, regulations and guidelines applicable to the interior space.Manage the interior design resource library and maintain vendor contacts for interior furnishings, fixtures and finishesCoordination and collaboration with other design professionals who may be retained to provide consulting services, including but not limited to architects, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, and various specialty consultantsObservation and reporting on the implementation of projects while in progress and upon completion, as a representative of and on behalf of the client; and punch list itemsPrepare project cost, fee analysis and proposals, and oversee and review project billings with consideration of roles, responsibilities and add service requests as outlines in project contractEfficiently manage project designers, design assistants, and interns on team;
