80% Print, 20% Digital
Attention: West Coast Graphic Designers!
Contract to hire opportunity! Our client is in need of a Graphic Designer (80% print and 20% digital) to work PST hours. The BULK of this job will be in-store signage, in-store banners, promotional signage, partnership event signage, etc. but will also assist with circulars, direct mail, various collateral pieces and emails/social media. Bonus if you live in the Bay area and can work on-site (hybrid). Must have portfolio to be considered! Must have both conceptual and production based work in your portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the creative execution of concepts and designs for retail circular pages, direct mail, variety of signage and other print collateral.
- will create concepts, design and execute retail and direct mail pieces whose messages are visually compelling; execute the creative strategy, and ensure that projects are completed on established schedule targets.
- Must be able to collaborate with and work under supervision to execute a high volume of creative projects per year to achieve the overall goals and objectives of the client.
- Must be able to define work based on evaluation of short-term and long-term goals of the department.
- Able to independently evaluate processes, identify areas of improvement, and incorporate them into overall work objectives.
- Develops creative and graphic concepts (for web and print) in collaboration with the assigned team.
- Follows projects throughout all stages of print production and/or online deployment.
- Provides production support to produce technically correct, print-ready mechanicals for release.
- Interacts regularly with creative leadership, creative partners, and other team members as needed for completion of assigned projects
- Interprets marketing ideas and turns them into visual reality at a world-class level
- Takes ownership of projects, and successfully executes through all stages of creative development on target, on time, and on budget
- Strong attention to detail.
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- 5+ Years experience working as a Graphic Designer
- Strong portfolio with mainly print examples, specific to retail
- Proficient on a MAC as well as the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Organizational skills, adaptability, and composure under fire are equally important
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to build and maintain strong and effective client and internal relationships
- Strong project-management skills, organizational skills, and time-management skills
- Able to communicate clearly and courteously with those who need to know about decisions/actions/problems.
