API Heat Transfer is seeking a talented Mechanical Designer for our Buffalo facility to support both strategic and ongoing customer engagements. Design of custom heat exchangers using Solidworks and AutoCAD Generate detail drawings, BOM's, and Manufacturing Requirements Perform ASME code calculations to support the overall design (training in Codeware Compress software provided) Prepare layouts for components and subassemblies with focus on designing for cost and manufacturability Provide engineering and technical support for the layout, design, and evaluation of equipment, including checking of drawings and other related engineering documents. Partner with manufacturing, purchasing, application engineering, and sales to deliver customer projects Ensure the design of equipment adheres to current standards Support the team with validating each other's output, analysis of results, and other efforts to produce world-class products What You Bring: Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Computer Aided Drafting/ Design Technology Experience with Solidworks (or Autodesk Inventor) Collaborative, analytical, and solution focused Versatile, highly motivated, and team oriented attitude Familiarity with Continuous Improvement tools and/or methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, etc.) is a plus Check out the COOL things we've been up to!
