WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are searching for a skilled Instructional Designer to lead the creation of educational training materials. This role is pivotal in scripting, planning, and ensuring the effective delivery of content designed for both laypersons and experts. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in research, curriculum development, and a background in cybersecurity.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Cybersecurity Curriculum Developer and Content Manager, you will spearhead the development and management of educational content aimed at improving user awareness and response to information security threats. You will be responsible for:
- Developing engaging training content.
- Conducting thorough research on emerging cybersecurity threats to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Analysing training materials' effectiveness through metrics and feedback, continuously refining content to enhance user engagement and understanding.
- Creating comprehensive content strategies aligned with compliance objectives and organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write, edit, and proofread content.
- Oversee the production of high-quality video content.
- Generate region-specific content to meet diverse user needs.
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive content strategy for training materials.
- Collaborate with product marketing teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop content that effectively communicates complex cybersecurity concepts in an engaging manner.
- Stay updated on customer requests for customizations and new content.
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure content compatibility with various platforms and devices.
- Ensure content meets WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility guidelines.
- Guide the content team towards excellence with strong leadership qualities.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, instructional design, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in content management, curriculum development, or a similar role.
- Strong research skills with the ability to stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS is preferred.
- A moderate background in cybersecurity, with an understanding of current threats, trends, and security awareness training methodologies.
- Proficiency with popular content management systems.
- Creativity and the ability to develop original, engaging content.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and proofreading.
- Experience in compliance-related content creation and training is preferred.
