Piping DesignerJob DescriptionA Designer primary responsibility is to create technical drawings to help design and build aircraft, bridges and other engineering, manufacturing or architectural projects.The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of piping system alignment, stationing, appurtenances and be proficient in modeling 3D piping components in AutoCAD Plant 3D. More specifically, their daily duties include: Using CAD software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, to prepare technical drawingsWorking with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet their specificationsWriting related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimatesEnsuring that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standardsMaintaining a library of standard drawing templatesUpdating existing drawings as new information becomes availableRequirements for the RoleCommunication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication to convey technical information effectively.Learning Orientation: Desire and ability to learn new skills and work on multidiscipline design projects.CAD Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of CAD design tools, specifically AutoCAD and Civil 3D.Engineering Expertise: Understanding of earthwork design, site drainage, and grading for site development.Site Visits and Travel: Ability to visit project sites for data gathering and occasional travel to client facilities.Experience and Education RequirementsBachelor's Degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering.2-5 years of related experience in civil engineering.Desired EIT certification with the goal of sitting for the California PE exam.Salary: $65,000 - $73,500Please view our Privacy Policy.
