As the Display Designer, you will be at the forefront of designing and developing impactful POP displays, combining creative vision with practical production solutions. You'll be able to work with various substrates-whichever is most appropriate for each project ensuring your designs are innovative and efficient.
In this dual role, you will apply both "structural and graphic design" expertise. Working closely with the Director of Creative Services, you'll create designs that align with customer priorities and production capabilities, from concept to completion. You'll collaborate with sales, project managers, and clients to develop displays that meet customer objectives while exploring innovative materials and approaches.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
Creates visually appealing and structurally sound retail display solutions that align with brand aesthetics and marketing goals. This role involves developing and transforming creative concepts into functional designs that meet client specifications and manufacturing requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of materials, structure integrity, and manufacturing processes, and a passion for creating engaging and innovative retail experiences.
Design & Concept Development: Develop creative and functional designs for point-of-purchase (POP) displays that support brand messaging and enhance the in-store customer experience.
Translate client briefs into practical design solutions, focusing on aesthetics, functionality, and cost efficiency.
Create 3D models, renderings, and detailed technical drawings for prototypes and final production.
Material & Process Selection: Select appropriate materials such as corrugate, plastics, metals, and wood, considering durability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with production teams to ensure design feasibility and optimize designs for manufacturing and assembly.
Prototyping & Testing: Develop physical prototypes of designs, ensuring they meet structural and aesthetic requirements.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to test prototypes, ensuring the display meets safety, load bearing, and durability standards.
Client Collaboration: Work closely with account managers and clients to understand their needs and provide creative solutions that align with brand objectives.
Present design concepts and prototypes to clients, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments to meet expectations.
Ensure that client specifications and branding guidelines are met in all design work.
Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with structural engineers, marketing, and production teams to ensure the seamless execution of display designs from concept to production.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and ensure they meet design and budgetary requirements.
Industry &Trend Awareness: Stay up to date with retail trends, consumer behavior, and advancements in materials and design techniques.
Incorporate best practices in sustainable design, considering environmental impacts when selecting materials and processes.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in industrial design, Graphic Design, or related field.
3+ years of experience in retail display or POP display design.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar 3D design tools.
Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes, particularly those used in POP displays.
Excellent sketching, rendering and prototyping skills.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and functionality,
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of sustainable design practices and materials.
Experience with retail trends and merchandising strategies.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong communication and presentation skills.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
