The Hosiery Designer will work closely with the rest of the accessories team to support and develop seasonal product lines for multiple brands under the companies portfolio.

The Hosiery Designer will work closely with the rest of the accessories team to support and develop seasonal product lines for multiple brands under the companies portfolio.
Key Accountabilities
- Product development of seasonal brand right lines at all stages, including (but not limited to) market research, trend presentations, and sourcing all raw materials
- Create CAD sketches of styles in development
- Ensure the accuracy of technical packs, which include detailed sketches, fabric and garment construction, pattern scale (where applicable) and trim pages and placement
- Meet all deadlines in adherence to the seasonal design calendar
- Create and design lines according to predetermined style plans, sales needs and emerging trends
- Partner in fitting meetings to ensure all product intent reflected in CADS or tech packs is received by cross functional teams as necessary
- Ensure the accuracy of seasonal presentation(s) setup
- Ensure that link files, assortment boards, inspiration boards and design archives library are accurate and updated regularly
- Communicate regularly with Design Operations and Sourcing to update and share information on line development
- Receive and review samples with Designers and send sample comments to the sample room
- Research, select and seek approval for fabrics, trims, silhouettes, color palettes, and patterns
- Set up seasonal concept presentation deck
- Special projects as assigned
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities/Education:
Required Skills/Abilities/Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design with a strong knowledge of garment construction
- 2 plus years of experience in the fashion industry as an Assistant or Associate Designer (children’s wear experience a plus)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills with attention to detail
- Brand appropriate aesthetic
- Ability to sketch brand right designs
Salary $75,000-$90,000
