Are you a creative problem-solver with a passion for visual storytelling? The Center for Performance Mastery is looking for a full- or part-time Graphic Designer who can bring complex educational concepts to life with clarity and style. This is a chance to contribute to impactful educational programs and create compelling graphic design visuals that make a real difference.


THE BASICS

Pay: Based in Lorton, VA, we offer this graphic design position remote flexibility and a competitive hourly rate of $57,600 to $72,450/year, plus the option to work full-time, part-time, or on a contract basis.

Schedule: You'll work remotely with set shifts available to suit your routine:

  • 7:00 am – 4:00 pm (M-F)
  • 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (M-F)
  • 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (M-F)

YOUR DAY AS A GRAPHIC DESIGNER

As a full- or part-time Graphic Designer, you'll design engaging educational materials that make complex subjects approachable. Each day, you'll collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to bring their ideas to life visually. From designing course presentations and infographics to crafting user-friendly interfaces for digital learning platforms, you'll ensure that every element is cohesive and visually appealing. You'll create and maintain a consistent visual brand across multiple courses and adapt your designs to be accessible on any device, helping learners connect with the material in a meaningful way.


REQUIREMENTS FOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER

  • Experience supporting university curriculum development
  • Strong creativity and communication skills

Experience in instructional design or educational content development is ideal. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), a background in creating responsive designs for multiple devices, and an understanding of cognitive load theory and its application to visual design is also preferred!
