THE ROLE

As a Mechanical Designer, you’ll collaborate across teams to develop innovative mechanical components for RC Mowers’ game-changing products. Your work will shape designs that are practical, manufacturable, and cost-effective, bringing bold ideas to life through prototyping and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop mechanical components for robotic mowers, working with cross-functional teams.
• Use SolidWorks to create 3D models and manufacturing drawings.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Participate in design reviews, offering actionable insights to improve product designs.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure successful prototyping, testing, and production.
• Assemble prototypes and conduct rigorous testing of mechanical and electrical systems, documenting results.
• Operate and test commercial mowing equipment after proper training.
• Maintain engineering documentation and create clean user-facing technical materials.

Key Requirements:

• Associate degree in engineering, mechanical design, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant design experience.
• Expertise in designing and detailing sheet metal components, weldments, and assemblies.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics, and perform basic calculations.
• Hands-on experience with hand and power tools for prototype assembly and testing.
• Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with outdoor power equipment, robotics, or construction machinery is a plus.
