About This Role: 

Support engineering with design & CAD duties.  Use technology to help generate designs for complex projects, using knowledge of machines, engineering standards, mathematics, and the materials required for the project. Support team operations and play an integral part in the promotion of our health and safety culture

A Day In The Life:

  • Use Inventor/ AutoCad software to create detailed 3D designs for complex projects

  • SolidWorks software for 3D design of mechanical and electrical components and packaged systems

  • Collaborate with others to establish timelines and budgets, as well as solve problems

  • Analyze data and situations and come up with creative solutions

  • Address limitations of technologies and materials involved in the CAD process

  • Incorporate feedback into 3D model designs, making revisions to models as requested

  • Keep up to date on all modern advancement in material and software technologies

  • Utilize large databases of material property information to best select materials for modeling

  • Comply with schedules and budget hours for CAD efforts for a wide variety of industrial projects

  • Attend regular development meetings

  • Take Ownership of Bill of Materials (BOM)

  • Create clear concise shop drawings 

  • Design for optimal  manufacturability  cost/time

You Will Thrive In This Role If:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience of 2-3 years working in a manufacturing environment

  • Extensive knowledge and proficiency with the company’s preferred software. (AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical/Mechanical, Excel) and the ability to learn new software quickly

  • Ability to take direction from engineering team and work independently to design systems per project design specifications

  • Experience in using Material requirements planning (MRP) software, Infor Visual experience a plus

  • Solid computer literacy in MS Office and Google products. Firm grasp of mathematics, engineering, and industry information

  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills and a strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work closely with Engineers, adhere to budget guidelines, schedules and client specifications during the course of the project

  • Ability to check engineering drawings (CNC program checking is a plus)

  • Eager to learn with strong listening and critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Must be able to work in an environment where change to scope of work is the norm

  • The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self -starter who consistently demonstrates professionalism and willingly accepts responsibility

  • This person performs as a team player, always shows a positive attitude towards clients, and strives for constant improvement in process and delivery

  • Demonstrate patience to see a complicated project to the end

  • Excellent understanding of CNC machine tools is a plus

  • Drive to create and continually improve systemsHigh level of mechanical aptitude

  • ISO 9001:2015 experience is a plus

  • Metal manufacturing experience is a plus

  • Oil/Gas Industry background experience is a plus

  • Electro Mechanical experience is a plus

  • Requires lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 50 lbs

  • Comfortable with sitting for long periods of time

  • Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back to operate computers

  • This position is designated a safety sensitive position and/or is located in a safety sensitive facility.  Drug and alcohol program participation is required

  • Must be able to pass a background check

Compensation Range:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $85,000 - $115,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
