What You Can Expect Position is responsible for developing design concepts to meet communication goals; creating and editing photos, charts, type, illustrations, brochures, technical manuals, video & multimedia materials, trade show and meetings materials, layouts and other graphic element; and facilitating print or electronic production of marketing materials. How You'll Create Impact Design collateral material to support initiatives, including but not limited to brochures, manuals, booth graphics, programs, promotional information. Prepare layout from mockups and designs using the best methods for a specific reproduction process, and using the techniques best suited for intended use. Responsible for submitting RFQ’s (request for quote) to vendors and following the proofing process through to completion; ensuring that the final collateral produced is of the highest quality with the greatest efficiency for the specific piece. Maintain archive of images, photos, multimedia or previous work products, and ensure proper archiving of electronic graphics. Prepare notes and instructions for vendors who assemble and prepare final layouts for printing. Work closely with the Marketing Communications Team in updating projects using the project management system; therefore ensuring timely completion of projects. Responsible for creating PDFs for website and print usage. What Makes You Stand Out Must be proficient on a Macintosh using Adobe CS3 or higher; including InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator and Acrobat. Knowledge with Final Cut Studio and/or Premiere, and Microsoft Office; preferred. Flash and/or Filemaker Pro experience and familiarity with video production and editing are a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills and time management skills are required in this position. Candidate must be highly motivated and deadline/detail oriented. Must possess the ability to review final print proofing and make reasonable recommendations. The ability to negotiate printing specifications based on timing, quality and efficiency of the final product is preferred. Your Background Bachelor’s (B.A.) degree preferred, in Graphic Arts, Graphic Design or related field with 2+ year’s related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. EOE/M/F/Vet/Disability
