Duties:
Electric Supply Document Management team is responsible to manage our Electrical Engineering Records for our Electric Distribution & Generation Operations team members, which includes management of records during execution phase of our capital projects in coordination with Engineering and Enterprise Project Management. This department also leads our efforts related to drafting support for our Engineering team and managing our Computer Aided Drafting Standards. This team has a major part in delivering on our capital investment strategy for the Company and maintaining configuration management for our Operations team members.
Job Description
Technician is responsible for creating new drawings based on sketches from engineering, picking up as-built comments on construction drawings, supporting DCR drawing updates with varying complexity utilizing AutoCAD or MicroStation software. Electrical drafting & design experience is preferred but would also consider Mechanical and Civil experience. The majority of contractor's work will be completed in office, but some field work may be required.
Key Responsibilities in this area include:
• Design in a CAD systems (AutoCAD & MicroStation) and within ProjectWise
• Track drafting requests in database to completion
Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- • Ability to work as an independent contributor with minimal supervision at the assigned physical work location
- • A valid driver’s license
- • Ability to perform the above-mentioned duties in a safe manner at all times; driving to and from field (including remote) sites is required and the individual must be able to perform this function in all Michigan seasons

Education:
- A 2-year Associate Degree in the requisite scientific or technical field (48 scientific or technical credit hours as measured on a semester basis); the 48 scientific or technical credit hours can be obtained through colleges, technical institutes, licensed apprenticeship programs, trade schools, military programs, etc.
