Our team works on-site in San Francisco 4-5 days per week.
The Role We're seeking a Lead Product Designer to join our founding team and shape the future of our AI-powered roleplay platform. As our first dedicated designer, you'll work directly with customers, engineers, and founders to create next-generation interfaces and experiences that make complex AI interactions feel natural and intuitive.
Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end design process, from concept to implementation
Collaborate closely with customers to understand their needs and pain points
Work with engineers and founders to bring designs to life
Create and maintain design systems and assets in Figma
Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
Advocate for design best practices and user-centered thinking across the organization
Contribute to product strategy and roadmap planning
Requirements
5+ years of experience in product design, preferably in B2B SaaS
Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional UI/UX design skills
Interest in designing AI-powered interfaces and products
Proficiency in Figma and other industry-standard design tools
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Self-starter mentality with a passion for solving complex problems
Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Ideal Candidate Has experience as a solo designer or early design hire at a startup
Demonstrates curiosity and creativity in approaching new challenges
Shows passion for creating delightful user experiences
Comfortable with rapid prototyping and iterative design processes
Has a keen interest in AI, voice interfaces, and emerging technologies
Experience with or enthusiasm for gamification and interactive learning platforms
