Job Description
Job Summary: Works with Sr. Engineers to create drawings and BOM’s for UV curing and germicidal equipment. Works with independence at the device, component, or system level. Works under minimal supervision. Salary negotiable and based on experience.
Essential Duties:
· Set up Autocad drawings and 3D models using company Autocad design software (Inventor) and CAD standards.
· Performs detailed review of work performed before submitting completed drawings to production, working within the company Quality Management System guidelines.
· Works with Engineers to design UV curing and Germicidal equipment, including concept development, analysis, design layout, prototype development and test.
· Produces fabrication drawings as required and works with internal fabrication department to ensure quality and on time project completion.
· Works with document control to produce and verify manufacturing documentation, including generating Bills of Material.
· Works with Engineering group to develops test plan and conducts tests necessary to verify design.
· Works within Engineering to complete Engineering Change requests.
· Works with manufacturing to resolve manufacturing problems.
· Establishes and maintains vendor contacts necessary for procurement of parts and materials.
· Prepares specifications, design reports and equipment manuals.
· Performs various other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
· 2 -3 years experience in manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication environment
· Associates Degree Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred
· Able to lift 30 lbs.
· Working knowledge of 3D CAD software. Autodesk Inventor required.
· Knowledge of the following:
* General mechanical design
* Sheet metal fabrication and machining prints
* Materials, finishes and protective coatings
* Stress and strain
* Test and measurement equipment
· Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to solve mechanical design problems.
· Experience with MS office 365 tools
