The Position
The UX/UI Designer will play a pivotal role in shaping the UX/UI customer experience in support of the upcoming Icodec launch across marketing channels. This position involves developing and implementing strategies to enhance user experience across technology platforms and creating intuitive, user-friendly interfaces based on a deep understanding of customer preferences and behaviors.
Relationships
Reports to Human Centered Design Lead. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including marketing brand teams, behavior science, analytics, and technology, to ensure alignment between design and business objectives.
Essential Functions UI/UX Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive UI/UX strategies aligned with the Icodec brand objectives and goals. Ensure UX/UI strategy integrates insights from the customer journey, segments, and identified opportunities for experience improvement.
User-Centric Design: Lead the design of user interfaces for various channels and technology platforms, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. Leverage user-centered design principles to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. Work closely with the behavioral science team to use customer experience insights to inform design decisions.
User Experience Enhancement: Utilize insights from behavioral data to understand user behaviors and personalize user experiences based on individual customer preferences. Integrate innovative design approaches to enhance the overall user experience.
Implementation and Testing: Create design prototypes to visualize and test design concepts as well as understand how different channels and designs flow together across channels. Iterate on designs based on user feedback and performance analytics. Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards.
Experience Optimization: Ensure that user interfaces align with cognitive and behavioral norms for optimal engagement. Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on user feedback and evolving UX/UI research or trends.
Documentation: Document design decisions, guidelines, and style libraries for reference. Include information on optimizations and outcomes.
Partner Management: Work with and advise any external partners to ensure design consistency and best practice adherence.
Physical Requirements
20-30% overnight travel required.
Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree in UX/UI design or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience, including demonstrated history in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
Experience in pharmaceutical industry/life science brand marketing strategy and planning.
Experience with US life sciences organizations preferred.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
Demonstrated ability to drive innovation in design strategies and stay ahead of industry trends.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Embodies leadership behaviors, including authenticity, servant leadership, will, empathy, decisiveness, and driving focus and simplicity.
Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives that enhance user experience through conception to innovative design and execution.
