Bezos Academy
Principal Product Designer Job at Bezos Academy in Seattle
Bezos Academy, Seattle, WA, United States
As the Principal Product Designer of a new initiative at Bezos Academy, you will design educational products, experiences, and solutions for children and families. You are a hands-on, impact-driven visionary who will lead experience strategy and product design with a small team of founders. Your work will combine digital experiences for families with analog activities for children. With a passion for design craft and a mission-driven mindset, you will expand access to early childhood development programs for families of all kinds.
You have a track record of designing end-to-end experiences that solve human problems. You work resourcefully across platforms and mediums, using technology for real world impact despite constraints on time and resources. You have successfully led product discovery and shipped multiple consumer-facing products in collaboration with product managers and engineering. You are a builder with a customer mindset, preferring working demos over perfect plans. You are adept at working from scratch, resolving ambiguity, and iterating your way to customer love. You have led all phases of the product/UX design process, including discovery, strategy, experience design, and visual design. You know exceptional work when you see it and you sow this passion in others.
You will find yourself in a fast-paced, start-up environment where you will focus on inventing, measuring, and iterating for children. You are equally motivated by great products and great impact, deeply inspired by our mission to expand access to early childhood education in under-resourced communities.
