A motivated and strategic sales specialist/designer whose objective is to ensure excellent customer experiences and capture revenues for the company by providing accurate, innovative, reliable, and intuitive systems, while maintaining the appropriate balance between profitability for the company and competitive pricing for the client. Where are we located? Atlanta, GA What kind of job is this? Fulltime, with a combination of base salary and commission What would your job look like? From a bird's-eye view, we are counting on you to close sales leads and help us develop our business development strategy. We currently have a good mix of revenue coming in from existing clients and from new clients. We are looking for someone who's a hunter, and doesn't need to be fed sales leads. As such, you would work to develop our current pipeline by looking for new and innovative ways to expand it. Own proper running shoes? We need someone who can quickly switch gears and manage both small commercial and residential sales. On a more granular level, your typical week would look something like this: you'll be the primary point of contact for any new prospective clients with projects, managing your own schedule and appointments; you're regularly checking in on our existing clients and looking for opportunities to expand our business with them; you'll help clients bring clarity and organization to their technology dreams by collaborating with our team to create proposals built around those dreams; you'll manage the entire process leading a client through the consultation and sale, and make sure they have been successfully handed off to our Service Team at the end of that pipeline; you'll keep proper documentation on the backend in iPoint. You'll be expected to fill out the existing weekly sales report/forecast; you'll spend time looking for creative ways to expand your and our company's network within our market - establishing and deepening relationships with builders and other members of the general home industry within our metro area; you'll spend time thinking about the strategic direction of sales for Atlanta Audio & Automation and bouncing ideas off of the team; you'll be responsible for developing new relationships with architects, builders and interior designers as a way of fostering relationships with luxury clients; you'll be responsible for educating these clients and assessing how our products can enhance their lifestyle; you will be responsible for shepherding the client through the Design process, then assisting with the transition to the project manager/ installation team, and finally to the service department; you'll maintain an ongoing relationship with the client beyond that transition and throughout the lifecycle of the client, as their technology needs evolve; you'll develop a network of trade partners (architects, builders, interior designers) to assist in facilitating the sale of home technology systems to clients; you'll research product and make recommendations to the client based on functionality; you'll meet with clients to review their wants and desires while recommending appropriate technology solutions; you'll produce documents to support the custom quotation (including drawings/schematics, plans, intake documents, site assessments, etc); Create new and innovative ways to obtain desired results while adhering to budget and product constraints; Ensure quotations and customer proposals contain systems and products that meet all client expectations & needs, contain the desired functionality intended, and meet or exceed company expectations on profitability while staying within client budgetary needs; Understand and adhere to company standards on product/labor mix and margin including labor hours, programming, travel time, product management, freight, and misc. charges; Present estimates and designs to clients with the intent of closing the transaction; Revise and edit as needed; Attend post-install meetings with Project managers/Install team to obtain feedback on design & quotation improvements; Update project documentation in job management software (we currently use iPoint); Local travel to sites for client meetings, site surveys, training, testing or quality control as appropriate; Customer service, including the ability to work with high-profile and high-demand customers; Guardianship and preservation of client confidentiality and network/home security; Adherence to state and federal laws, including adherence to traffic laws. What should you bring to the table? .3-5 years of experience in sales and client management experience. Bonus points if your experience is in one of the following fields: Home Automation, Audio, Video, Security, Lighting, and Integration of all installed brands; Experienced hunter with the initiative and motivation to seek out, create and manage new client and partner relationships; Well organized and detail-oriented with a technical aptitude; Knowledge of the luxury construction and design/build industry, including contract structures (time and materials, fixed fee, cost plus, etc. Trade coordination, and project management; Luxury products or services; Demonstrated ability to manage a sales funnel process to get to a "yes;"; An ability to take ownership of our business development strategy by balancing the ability to think strategically against the need to also execute tactically; A willingness to take on as your own, the company's core values, purpose, cause and passion; A positive attitude, ability to excel under pressure, and a willingness to hold yourself accountable; A natural passion for developing professional relationships within the design/build community and with potential/existing clients; Strong presentation and negotiation skills; Ability to read and comprehend documentation such as house plans, lighting diagrams etc.; Additional Requirements: High-energy, self-motivated individual with the ability to quickly grasp new concepts in an extremely fast-paced environment; Flexibility to meet customer demands outside of normal working hours; Valid Georgia driver's license, clean driving record, and criminal background.
