Job Description
Dekker is hiring landscape designers. This position offers the opportunity to assist the production of a wide variety of landscape projects across various studios including Healthcare, Multifamily Housing, Federal Government, Commercial, and/or Education (K-12 & Higher Ed). As passionate and self-driven team members at Dekker, candidates would play a key role in creating inspired experiences for everyone they interact with backed by support of a firm that has been a staple in the industry for 60 years.
Responsibilities
- Assist client-based teams through all phases of a project’s development
- Work directly with clients and end users
- Work with clients to improve their process and flow
- Maintain and build client-based institutional knowledge
- Mentor and teach staff, and build the overall capacity of the firm’s teams
- Engage in continual research, teaching, and dialog on landscape design innovations
- Lead pursuits of new projects, clients, and markets
- Engage and participate firm-wide in projects across multiple offices
Qualifications
- This is a hybrid work environment with 3 days onsite required. Applicants must live in the Albuquerque, NM metro area.
- 1+ years in landscape architectural planning and design or equivalent education.
- Design-specific credentials are highly valued: SITES AP or LEED AP is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Strong graphic communicator - hand sketching, AutoCAD, Land F/X, SketchUp and Adobe Suite are essential. ArcGIS and Bluebeam and Revit are a plus
