General Overview of Position:
Arcxis is seeking Mechanical designers and engineers with a wide range of experience who are skilled primarily in single-family detached Residential HVAC design and Engineering. This includes performing Manual J, S, D HVAC design, as well as designing duct layouts in AutoCAD by integrating with our in-house frame designs in accordance with ACCA and IRC standards. Mechanical Designers and Engineers collaborate and partner across all disciplines to ensure the highest level of cross-disciplined design integration for a one stop shop solution to our partners residential design needs.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Job duties will be to produce Manual J, S, and D calculation and designs using Wrightsoft and final construction documents in AutoCAD
Mechanical HVAC engineering and design of single- and multi-family, low- and high-rise residential HVAC systems
Generate detailed mechanical design drawings in AutoCAD for construction documentation of mechanical systems for bidding and construction
Prepare Construction Documents in AutoCAD
Work with design staff and drafters to complete project

ICC International Codes
Uniform building codes

Team players with exceptional interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
Self-directed, with good initiative and a great multi-tasker
Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft word, Excel, Bluebeam, etc...)
Requirements
Education, Experience, and Qualifications: BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent comparative experience.
Preferred 3+ years' experience in Mechanical Design for residential building systems, code compliance, and construction.
Mechanical Design experience with various cooling systems, VRF systems, ventilation, and exhaust systems.
Mechanical Design experience with mid-rise multifamily buildings, mixed use buildings, residential and enclosed parking garages.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday day shift, however additional hours, including weekend hours, may be required in accordance with changing business needs.
