Job Description
Mi-Tech offers a broad range of professional, engineering and technical services to the telecommunications and power delivery markets. We have a current opening for an OSP Aerial Design Associate. At Mi-Tech, we support our customers and stakeholders and constantly strive to exceed expectations with all of our services, which include: Communications Design Services, Energy Distribution Services, Utility Pole Inspection, and Environmental Services.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to acquire field data (stick poles) to be used in the OSP Aerial design with supervision.
- Support the design of OSP projects, aerial, buried, and underground applications.
- Complete construction unit and material summaries with direction.
- Support permitting activities required by pole owners, local, state, R/R, and federal permitting agencies.
- Assist manager and OSP Designers as needed.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Travel, including overnight travel is required
Requirements:
- High School diploma
- Some college preferred
- OSP Telecom experience preferred
- 0-1 years related experience
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, and Pole loading software (O-Calc, Spida) a plus
- Demonstrated ability to critically think
