Job Description
Ship&Play, the company behind Ship Sticks and Ship Skis, is seeking a dynamic graphic designer to join the team at our headquarters in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This role will focus on creating high-quality marketing and sales materials, primarily on collaborations between our family of brands and highest-profile partners.
Regular outputs span the marketing spectrum, including presentations, 2D graphics, illustrations, email designs, and print and packaging materials. This position must collaborate closely with internal partners to ensure that our creative projects align with our brand objectives and partner needs, effectively communicating our message to our audience and the audience of our key partners.
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of creative flair, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional design solutions across various marketing channels. They should have a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple brands in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Design captivating graphics, advertisements, and presentation materials that effectively convey our brand message and resonate with our audience
Develop project-specific mockups and templates that meet the requirements of each initiative; understand the process for approvals and revisions
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project objectives, provide timely updates, and deliver creative explorations
Identify opportunities to leverage design synergy between projects sponsored by brand management, sales, and marketing
Provide technical expertise to other creative team members and executives
Stay up-to-date with current technologies and design trends, continuously enhancing our creative output
Oversee the production and completion of creative projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget constraints
Manage workload effectively and communicate progress, conflicts, and plans with team members
Basic and Preferred Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Web Design, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of design experience in marketing or advertising, or a relevant combination of education and experience
Strong portfolio showcasing examples of web and print design for brand creative
Skills and Abilities:
Proficient knowledge of organizational branding and its impact on customer experience
Expertise in concept development, layout composition, color theory, typography, and basic drawing skills
Familiarity with photo file quality differences for print and web media
Understanding of usability and online user experience design principles
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Proficiency in Google Suite, with emphasis on Google slides
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, and Figma.
Ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals and handle feedback professionally
