Position: Substation P&C Designer

Our client is an engineering leader dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions for power substations and high-voltage projects. They are seeking a Substation P&C Designer to contribute to the technical preparation, development, and quality assurance of protection and control designs for high-voltage substations.

Work Arrangement:

This position offers a hybrid work environment with the opportunity to split time between home and office.

Position Summary:

The Substation P&C Designer will focus on creating and reviewing detailed deliverables for high-voltage substation projects. These include developing One-Line Diagrams, Control House Layouts, Relay Panel Front Views, Elementary/Schematic Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Bills of Materials, and Cable Schedules. The role involves leveraging AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE) to ensure designs meet IEEE and client standards.

Responsibilities:

• Complete assignments accurately within budget and schedule constraints.
• Work under the guidance of a P&C Group Lead to deliver high-quality design outputs.
• Utilize AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE) standards to prepare protection and control designs.
• Prepare technical deliverables, ensuring compliance with applicable IEEE standards and client-specific requirements.
• Review and ensure the accuracy of design outputs and their adherence to project requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE).
• Associate’s degree in Design or Drafting.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with P&C design for power substations.
• Interest in learning and applying the latest Autodesk tools and technologies for substation design.
