Role Overview: As an Architectural Designer/Architect at Shapiro & Company Architects, you will:

• Projects: Take ownership of residential projects from conception through completion, ensuring high standards of design and execution.
• Client Interaction: Engage directly with clients to understand their needs, present design concepts, and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.
• Design Excellence: Apply your expertise to develop innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing residential designs.
• Independent & Collaborative Work: Balance working independently with collaborating effectively with other team members and disciplines.
• Project Management: Oversee all phases of residential projects, including planning, design, and implementation.

What We’re Looking For:

• Design Expertise: Proven experience in single family, wood-framed architectural design. Showcase your portfolio with detailed examples of projects you’ve worked on.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly articulate design ideas and project updates to clients and team members.
• Passion & Drive: A genuine enthusiasm for residential architecture and a proactive attitude towards your professional development.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with a solid understanding of architectural concepts, spatial relationships, and building systems.
• Organizational Abilities: Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Building Codes and Zoning regulations.

Your Background:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field is required. An accredited degree is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with residential wood framed construction in related design required; experience in single family custom and regional builder product design required. Licensed Architect or on the path to licensure is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Revit are essential. Experience with wood-framed structures is a plus.
