Job Description:Orbital Engineering is currently seeking a Piping Designer/Field Technician with experience in developing as-built piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) using CAD software. The position requires experience in heavy industrial engineering projectspreferably in the refining industry and will be based in Trainer, PA. This position requires at least 50% field work outdoors in a heavy industrial environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform field walkdowns to validate existing P&ID content. Prepare redlines of any discrepancies.Incorporate field markups into plant P&IDs.Participate in internal coordination meetings for progress review and planning.Participate in MOC meetings with the client.Skills/Experience:Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent is required5 years of related P&ID experience including knowledge of ISA 5.1 symbologySpecialized courses or certification in drafting, design and engineering practicesProficiency with AutoCAD requiredTWIC Card holder or ability to obtain TWIC Card upon employmentMust be comfortable and physically capable of working outdoors in extreme (or adverse) weather conditions. Must be comfortable accessing/working from heights of anywhere from 10 to 100.
