We're looking for a talented Managing Editor who can combine editorial expertise with strategic thinking to help us deliver high-quality content. You'll be responsible for editing and improving the work of writers, curating and creating content that resonates with clients' audiences, and ensuring a polished, brand-aligned output. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a critical eye for detail and an unrelenting commitment to excellence that's passionate about writing and editing polished, high-quality content.
Responsibilities
- Edit content to a high standard, ensuring all deliverables align with client goals, brand voice, and SEO best practices.
- Write and refine content, including blog posts, landing pages, and on-site copy, delivering work that could rival a New York Times bestseller.
- Work closely with Content department lead, SEO strategists, media teams, and clients (when needed) to ensure content achieves desired outcomes.
- Manage relationships with writers, providing constructive feedback and elevating their work to meet client expectations.
- Organize, modify, and update existing content to reflect current trends, strategies, and brand guidelines.
- Assist in topic research, ensuring content is accurate, compelling, and authoritative.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated ability to edit and improve content to professional-grade quality, with a focus on tone, clarity, and brand alignment.
- Writing portfolio or three samples showcasing your best work—content that informs, persuades, and delights.
- A self-directed leader with 5+ years of experience in content editing or writing, with proven ability to manage your workload and projects independently.
- Experience guiding writers to produce exceptional content and managing multiple relationships.
- Understanding of SEO content strategies and best practices, with experience optimizing content for search engines.
- Comfort working in tools like Asana, ClickUp, or similar platforms, and an ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and contribute to team goals.
